"I don't like to ask someone to do something I'm not willing to do myself. Obviously, as we grow we can't be everywhere at the same time, but keeping this in mind makes you think about whether something is really that important." - Robert Dyer

Robert Dyer's Blog

Welcome to my blog! I'm starting this new venture with the launch of my new website. In this space, I plan to share insights related to the fitness industry. Sometimes you'll find resources I recommend. You may also expect to find observations and anecdotes surrounding my experiences and the lessons I've learned - sometimes the hard way. Who knows... you may even show up here one day and find a video starring my favorite bulldog, Toby! I hope you'll visit again, and if you read something that sparks a thought, I also hope you'll take the time to leave a comment! There's a lot to learn; why don't we have some fun with it?

13th Rio Sports Show, right around the corner!

Is anybody else getting excited about the 2011 Rio Sports Show Fitness Conference this week? If you happen to be there and pass by, make sure you say hello!

Robert Dyer's "Unopened Gifts" video interview with James McPartland

James McPartland is someone I admire a great deal.  And so it was an honor to be invited as a guest on his "Real Coaching Radio" series. Not knowing the questions in advance, I wasn't sure what to expect. But James suggested I approach it as I would if we were just sitting down on the couch for a chat. So I did. All in all, we covered a lot of territory, and I hope a few people will find it helpful in some way.

Fitmarc's Robert Dyer on Westside Tennis and Fitness becoming a "platinum club"

In this video, Robert Dyer, founder of Fitness Marketing Systems ("Fitmarc"), explains how Westside Tennis and Fitness adopted all the Les Mills solutions as a platinum club. This video was posted on YouTube in 2009, but continues to provide a great introduction to what we're all about.
